The
Fr. William
Devereaux Council was founded in 1982 through the efforts of Fr. Ronald
Gaesser and Mr. Bill
McAlee. It is named after a long-standing pastor of St. Columba Church,
who served
here from 1944 to 1970. The Fr. Devereaux Council works closely with
St. Columba-St. Patrick Parish but also has membership from St. Agnes
in Avon and St. Mary of the Assumption in Scottsville. They
work to provide funds
for
various projects, with many members also being active in other roles in
their parish.
